State of Aloha Looks
When we first came to Hawai'i, we understood 'aloha' to be the Hawaiian way of saying hello and saying goodbye — but we've learned that there's so much more to this beautiful word.
'Alo,' literally translates to being face to face, or in the presence of, and 'ha,' the breath of life. Together, 'aloha' is the sincere understanding that another is a partner in this shared miracle of being alive.
To live aloha, as the locals say, is to extend respect, warmth, and love for one another, and for the land and the ocean which provide for all living things and allow us to continue taking our 'breath of life.'
We hope you enjoy this collection inspired by this beautiful word.
Aloha nui loa!
