Send Chinatown Love Collaboration
Friend of a Friend Studio is partnering with Send Chinatown Love, a collective of big-hearted people volunteering tirelessly to help save the Chinatown community.
Since the beginning of this year, we’ve seen Chinatown greatly hurting from the impacts of COVID-19. While some storefronts are beginning to reopen, most remain shuttered, and all are fighting tooth and nail to stay afloat. Send Chinatown Love has been raising funds to provide help to these small businesses who need it most — cash-only Ma and Pa’s who are unable to overcome language and tech barriers and are now in margin of being lost in the shuffle.
We dedicate these pieces to these Ma and Pa’s who have dedicated their lives to the exchange of culture, food, gifts, service and care to New York and all her visitors. The medley of markets, herbalists, cleaners, tea shops, eateries make up the very soul of Chinatown.
Chinatown Love tee & tote are available now from our online shop. 100% of proceeds will go towards providing direct relief to struggling Chinatown small businesses. Additionally, through Labor Day weekend, 100% of all sales of anything else from our shop will also be donated to help in this mission.
